Updating to 2.3 (or higher?)

So I have an old Continuum running 2.1 that I'm using as a media device, and I'd like to update the OS to take advantage of Google Play Music and the like.
There were some threads running around about pushing updates manually, but all the links are dead. Can anyone help a brother out?
