Upgrade available!

[Android Central Question]

Hey guys I currently have the Huawei p20 pro, which I find to be an absolutely amazing phone! When looking for a phone I always look for a good camera, good memory and good sound...this phone has ticked all them boxes for me.
I am due an upgrade and I can't decided whether to go for the p30 pro or the p40 pro?? Obviously the lack of Google services on the p40 is making me doubt that upgrade as I do heavily rely on Google services for emails etc.
So I just wanted some opinions if possible?

Hey Sam... Man that P40 looks incredible I just watched two videos on it... It's a shame with no Google apps though.. What do you think about Samsung Note series? I think it would tick plenty of the boxes for you...

Welcome to Android Central! OnePlus 8, maybe? I habitually recommend Pixel phones, but my understanding is that the Pixel 5's speakers aren't as good as previous generations. Although the Pixel 4a might still be worth a glance (and much cheaper than the big flagships).

Welcome to Android Central! Like B. Diddy, I too would recommend looking at Pixel phones, as they will take phenomenal photos and you can buy good quality Pixel devices for a more economical price points than their competitors.

PS: I don't blame you for loving the P20 and the Huawei line - they are amazing!

I love my p40 pro its the best phone for me! I have all the apps i need! I am not saying that every app is on it yet but its getting there! If you are tempted to try the p40 pro I would recommend first buying a y5p its £90 so lets you experience it before making a commitment plus can then gift it to someone else or use it as a spare phone lol. With every new phone I get there are main features I look for.
*A good camera, my p20 pro has not let me down in this area, I love to take pictures when I travel and of my family and they always look amazing.
*I used to look for good sound/speakers however that is not an issue as I connect my phone to a speaker when I listen to music now.
*Good memory.

I'm finding it hard to find a phone that has a good camera and memory.
The p40 pro has no Google services which I do rely on, so that is out of the question.
The p30 pro sounded ok and the Samsung s20 ultra has amazing camera qualities however sound massive!!!!!!!!!!

Have you considered the Pixel 5 or even the Pixel 4a? I am pretty sure they both have capabilities for expandable storage and will take phenomenal pictures. They are as close to stock Android as you can get, and since Huawei was pretty close to stock too, you may find that to be an easier transition.
