Still on my S7 without any major problems whatsoever. Battery life has started to fade a bit, but I have chargers everywhere and it's just not a problem for me. I'm debating upgrading to the S9 simply to have the latest... no other reason. Worth it?

My son, my daughter and my friend all had the S7. It seems there's a battery issue. My friends got so bad that the battery popped the back off her phone. We took it to Costco, where she bought it, and low and behold, the phone guy selling phones had the same issue with his S7. Samsung wouldn't do anything until I posted a video on YouTube. They did replace my friends phone after that. I replaced my son's and my daughter has chosen to use battery cases (her back hasn't popped off yet). Long story short, if it were me, I'd replace. Here's the video.

wait for Samsung Galaxy S10 with no bottom bezels. (remove chin)
might even get rid of the forehead at the top.
My Galaxy S7 Edge battery running really good.
i use fast wireless charger.
am not happy with the lag sometimes on keyboard or multitasking between app's. not smooth at all

I upgraded from the 7 to the 9 a couple of days ago. If VZW wasn't having a 50% off offer along with Best Buys extra $100 off, I probably wouldn't have done it.

Now that I've been able to customize it, I am sure I made the right choice. There wasn't anything wrong with the 7, but this has been a great upgrade so far.

Came from a 7 also, battery life was horrid for ME, but that was the only problem it had. If Tmobile didn't give 360 credit for it I wouldn't have done it, that being said this phone flat out rocks and IF you have the disposable income then yep.

I just upgraded to S9+ from the S7 Edge. I'm happy with the phone but I thought about returning the S9+ as I wasn't sure it was a worthy enough upgrade (especially considering the trade in is tied to 2 years of device payments).

Most people on this site are into phones, so I can understand the desire to upgrade. For others I can understand waiting.

Good luck.

Just upgraded from S7 (non edge) to S9+. I told myself I'm an odd number upgrade guy so didn't even look or read up on S8 during launch. One advantage of upgrading now is that your s7 is still worth something to sell.

To be really honest my s7 feels quite basic and "toyish" now compared to this beauty. No regrets so far!

I've gone from s7 edge to s9+ personally the size, screen and the camera did it for me. It all depends what you want from your phone personally I love #geeklife so as soon my phones, tablets, gadgets etc get used for a lot but if you don't use it that much cleaning your s7 up a bit to see if improves battery may be more worthwhile.

Yes, it is 100% worth it. Even upgrading to an S8 or S8+ would be 100% worth it. The S7 Edge was an awesome phone but the S9+ is way better IMO. Much faster and smoother. There will always be a better model coming out soon. I think the S10 will be something special and if you really can wait another year, then go for it but I can tell you as someone who has owned an S7 Edge, S8+ and S9+ that the S9+ is definitely the best of them.

I felt the same about my S7 but decided to take the plunge.
It took a while to get used to,but I am extremely happy with the s9. A good quality case (I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case) will make it feel less vulnerable. Enjoy!

I got my wife the GS9+ in Lilac Purple. She appears to be fine with the upgrade. She has had almost a full day's use.

I went from an S7 to S9+ and have zero regrets. I love my S9+!! My S7 had terrible lag and battery life.

Upgraded from the S7 Edge to the S9+ 3 weeks ago. The S7E had no issues whatsoever; I just wanted to upgrade to take advantage of the camera and bigger screen. Absolutely no regrets ...the S9+ is a fantastic phone and I'm happy that I upgraded.

I have a newer S7 that is pretty clean (my "workout" device). It functions fine but the S9+ is on whole other level. The performance increse is nothing short of dramatic.

I upgraded from an S7 Edge and loved everything about the S9 except the camera. The pictures were better on the S7, remarkably so. I returned the S9.

Absolutely! huge upgrade from an s7/edge. s9+ is superb, like butter, the screen makes me hard. Cam is much better than the s7, dunno why people are slating it, probably got a defective unit or user error using the cam options.

Having had her Lilac Purple GS9+ on AT&T since last Sunday, my wife loves it and has noticed a difference. For a non-technical person, that's saying something.
