Upgrade Galaxy Tab3 GT-P5210 to newer version

[Android Central Question]

Hi

My Tab3 is now 4 years old so I’m getting a new one and giving mine to daughter.

Is there any way I can’t install a newer version of android?..... it’s been on 4.4.2 for ages.

Can it be updated to 7 or 8?

The last updated supported version release was the KitKat OS. Better than the JellyBean original.
