Is there any way to upgrade the nvidia shield ( not pro) internal storage?

There's no way to increase the internal storage capacity of any phone, Android or iPhone. In some Androids you can use an SD card as part of internal storage, but that's one of the worst ideas there is. When the card goes (and having it set as internal storage means it will go bad faster than using it to store files), you have to do a factory reset, so if everything isn't backed up externally (like on Drive or on a PC) you lose it all.
