Anyone getting the Note 9 through the upgrade program after getting the Note 8 last year?

I contacted Samsung shop earlier to see what the process was and they said I would get an invitational email to upgrade to the Note 9, I hope it's within any promo for pre ordering!

I will be. I believe you have to wait on the email.
There is an upgrade lounge on the Samsung UK site, can only access once you are liable for said upgrade though.
I hope the 9 coming out early doesn't make us miss any pre order deals. Did you get the 8 on release day @evohicks?

Yes, pre ordered but I think it was around 15th September last year when the pre order went live so let's hope we don't have to wait a month

Yeah, we'll see what happens. Note 9 looks good and I'm very interested.
So I take it the process is that Samsung clear the outstanding money owed to Close Brothers and a new 2 year contract is written up, with optional upgrade on the Note 10 next year?

I believe, yes. Like you I am a little unsure of the timing.This is my first time using it.

I had 4 flagships in 12 months 2016 / 2017 until I bought the N8. Using the upgrade program was to make me only buy one a year. .

The only other devices that might interest me are the Pixel3XL and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. If the Note 8 upgrade program doesn't work out, I'll sell it and pick one of those up in October when they release.

For some reason when I go to the Samsung Shop and check orders, it's saying no orders, phoned Samsung shop and they have my order status 'under shipping preparation' bit odd there's no sign of it on my order history.
