Upgrade to galaxy tab A 9.7

Hi all , currently got a galaxy tab 3 8.0 and I'm thinking of upgrading to a tab A 9.7 , for those who have one are they fast ?? Do you get any lag ?? What's the screen quality like , heard its not so sharp ??
The tab 3 has a dual core processor and the A 9.7 is quad so I'm presuming its way better than my tab 3 ?? In general what do you think of the A 9.7 , various reviews say its an average tablet but I'd prefer to hear from an owner , thanks , Dave

I have been very pleased with my 9.7 with s-pen. The screen is totally fine for movies, etc. The resolution is only noticed on some pdf's with small print - a bit of pixelation noted, but completely legible.
The battery life is fantastic - result of the "lesser" screen I take it.
I have noted no problems with speed, though not a gamer.
Very pleased with this tablet - was using a note 8.0 with s-pen prior to this until it died; I am pleased with this newer tablet
