Upgrade to Z Flip 3?

Hey everyone!

So now that the Z Flip 3 is out, and many carriers have excellent trade in deals involving the S20, has anyone considered making the switch?

Personally, I'm really on the fence with my S20 Plus. I love the idea of the flip, but have concerns regarding long term durability, tiny battery, and sub-par cameras (especially in comparison to the S20).

Just wanted to gauge everyone's thoughts!

I figure with the deals going on, you get the Flip for so cheap and your almost-two-year-old phone for such a great trade-in value you might as well try it, and then if you don't like it, trade it in for a profit come the next S model.

I have had the Z Flip 5G for about 5 months, over the weekend, bubbles appeared at the crease. Checking online, this semes to be a known design flaw in hot temperatures. While the phone is under warranty, my options were to ship the phone back to Samsung and be without it for 5 days, bring the phone to a local UbreakIfix. The decision was easy, UbreakIfix, looked at my phone like they had never seen it before, but said they would order the appropriate parts which will take about 2 weeks to come in. I've talked with Samsung Concierge Support 3 times without any satisfaction other than pay $400+ to break out of my installment plan and upgrade to the Z Fold, pretty disappointed.

That's literally my biggest fear... I'm not sold on the durability of these foldables.

That's why they include the Samsung Care Plus coverage, which lets you replace the screen for $29. (They made it sound like for the foldables this year it included one screen replacement for free, but they never said it specifically and no details I can find that confirm it other than the current 29 deductible on their page).

While the protector this year is obviously improved alongside the rest of the materials, I have seen a few flips that to this day look just as new (and some reviewers are showing theirs next to the Flip3).

I was so bummed the colors weren't available for the 256GB option! The purple one looks so good (although not a color I'd personally like on my phone), and I really wanted the green one (not as 'cute' but more something I'd carry around) but had to settle for black because of the memory offer. Of course I'd have preferred a red option, but oh well...

Is the battery life as atrocious as being reported?
Ive been seeing better posts about battery.. I personally think it takes time especially for a Samsung phone to settle in learn your habits and optimize... It's a smaller battery with higher refresh rate so I would expect it to take a little more of a hit... Power users would need to charge intra day is my thinking

Again, wouldn't trust until you've had more time with it, but for me it's lasted a 7am to 10pm day with 10% left, and that included initial set up stuff. So far I'm at 88% (taken off the charger at 7am, 'normal' use with about an hour so far of music/headphones and it's 11:20am). I don't think this will last over a day on normal use, but also definitely not atrocious. This will NOT last you a day or be enough for one if you're a power-hungry user, that's for sure.

I jumped in today. I fought and fought and fought it but when Samsung dropped the price of the 256gb to $399 I couldn't not get it. I would have liked to have gotten the warranty plan for free but I missed that so I wound up with the free earbuds. :(

I want to try Visible and I'm hoping the Flip will be compatible but I can't find out until I have the IMEI number and for that I need the phone. It's a part of the VZW network so you'd think it would be compatible.
