Upgraded to 1.2 and nothing works

Since I upgraded my NC to 1.2 I get nothing but force close on almost every app. Is there a way to go back to 1.1 or whatever it was or do I need to update what is on the SD card. I should say that the NC is actually my wife's and she wants to keed the Nook stuff so I can't just root the thing. HELP!

These two should be helpfull, I love the second link because you can get your nook back to stock by just pressing buttons on the device, I've used it a few times ;-)
