Anyone upgrading from the Iphone? Just checked Web account and it shows my Data Unlimited for Iphone set to expired in April. What gives? Am I going to get Data Unlimited for Android? Called CS and they said they don't know anything until the phone is activated. Useless as usual. Anyone have info?

I was on a apple data plan then switched to my Nexus One last March and never swtiched data plans. And now Im getting the Atrix and still no changes needed. Ill be watching my bill closely after I get the Atrix though.

Just go in person to a corporate att store (not a reseller) and tell them what you want, they will usually try to make it happen.

The same for me. I had an iPhone with unlimited data and also changed to the N1 last April. I still have my unlimited plan and it's staying that way with the Atrix (so AT&T promises).

I'm coming from an iphone 3g as well, my plan is set to expire in april, but if you look under services you will see a new one called "smartphone personsal". If you detail into it, it says unlimited data.

I specifically went in and asked about this at my local AT&T store the other day. The sales guy said I could keep my unlimited data plan as a "grandfathered" deal if I just switched phones, but they no longer offer the unlimited data plan to new customers.
He said he wasn't sure what happens if I was to opt in for the dock/tethering plan, though. Which I'm not doing.

I think the change is just from 3G to HSPA+. I noticed the same thing on my account earlier this week and if you click on the new plan you will see it states something about having to be part of a gold package prior to upgrading to HSPA+.

I'm coming from the N1. I think you're just fine.

If you switch to the tethering plan, you lose your grandfathered unlimited plan.
