Upgrading from s7 edge to s8 plus

How about the battery life was it better than s7 edge?

My experience... My S8 Plus has better battery life than my S7Edge had.
The screen is much larger though the phone is a bit heavier and taller.
Recently got one in excellent condition with original box and accessories for a good price on Swappa.
Would love an S9 Plus but I purchase phones outright instead of through a carrier and the projected pricing I've read recently for the 9 series makes it a no go for me. FWIW... I really like my S8 Plus.

Went from S8+ to Note 8 for stylus ONLY. Kinda miss the S8+ and find it hard to believe that I would have replaced it with the S9+. But, hey, anuthing's possible.

I have a S7 and it works great. Got it during Black Friday 2016. So I'm hoping Vzw offers a deal this Black Friday on the S9+

It has more under the hood. Have yet to see discounts on S8 series.
My carrier has started out the discounts. I'm using an S7E and I'm up for upgrade on March 27. My carrier just announced their new prices and I could get the smaller S8 at a contract that's 10USD smaller monthly than my current one. Thinking about it actually. After I ran 2 weeks on a J7 Pro just to see any defects before I hand it over to my mom, I realized I really don't need the latest flagship anymore. The J7's performance scores were like just 1/3 of an S7's but it performed everything I needed fine. Was actually looking at the new A8 series before I learned about the discounted S8 series here.

PS. I'm in Asia.

Really? I think it's a lot better

I stream music. Play one game (not a lot). All my usage is Reddit, Tapatalk, Twitter, texting, etc... and I can get 6 hour (6.5 hours yesterday) on SoT (a bit less if I play the game more). I don't use my phone to stream videos.

Definitely couldn't get close to that when I had my S7.

Depends.

Do you want the Infinity Display? Is a rear-mounted finger-scanner workable for you? Can you handle the extra height?

It's definitely a better phone than the S7e for sure, but the question is whether it works for you. You should try it out somewhere before you decide to pull the trigger

Definitely, the size of the screen will make your S7 Edge look out dated. At least for me when I had S7E. You'll love it.

For me battery life was better on my Exynos S7E. Currently I have the Snapdragon S8+. Though one handed tryping is better on the S8+ due to the narrow build.

Yeah, doesn't the Exynos generally trump the Snapdragon in performance and battery? At least that's what I've read. Never used the Exynos.

Yeah it definitely does. Samsung should really figure out the licensing issue with Qualcomm because Exynos is definitely more optimized. For example, the Exynos 8890 could definitely do 4K @ 60fps while the 821 couldn't, neither could the next gen 835. Qualcomm is only playing catch up right now with the 845.
