Upgrading my Stock one S?

Not rooted or anything. Saw I could update to JB. Is it worth it? I am reading quite a few problems... Curious to see if they have been fixed or not.

NO!! Don't upgrade. My voice to text on Jelly Bean only works at home with a 5 bar signal & wifi. It has worked in a Tmobile store, nowhere else, even with strong signal. If I wait long enough for the voice prompt (usually 1 min+), get message "can't connect to google". Also, sucks down battery life by a good 30%. I'm having T-Mobile send me a warranty replacement because I can't go back to Ice cream Sandwich (4.0), even if I do a factory reboot. I'm not familiar with forums (1st time), but I make the effort because this new upgrade shows how incompetent HTC is (not sure if T-mobile shares blame here).

I had the exact opposite problem.

My One S SUCKED with Ice Cream Samich. I could barely use it to make calls and receiving calls was a damn joke.


The update has since solved all of the issues and the phone actually works.


So on a two year plan, I actually get a fully functioning phone for the final year. Some Fine person from T-mo, just doing their job, called me the other day and asked if I wanted to upgrade my phone. I asked her why I would want to do that, when this one just started working. Asked her if she could guarantee me the next one would work....... She didn't have a response.
