YeahI like the bigger Spen on the fold. I actually use it, but I know I won't get my way on no silo, to many want it. Just keep the under screen camera on inside screen, better yet no camera.![]()

I was thinking more on the spen for the fold and it's not in a silo last night.I can't wait until they put a silo for the spen in the fold device
I haven't noticed the tips between the 2 , it's got be softer on the Fold but if they did make a silo it would have to be the same size as the s22u I don't think it's possible to get the Fold spen silo just to thick , I like that over s22u spen .I was thinking more on the spen for the fold and it's not in a silo last night.
The tip on the spen for the S22U or other notes, are the tips thinner, more pointy then the fold spen? Just thinking maybe that's a reason they haven't done a silo yet, more pointy tip might dig into the screen. Just idea.
Before I could even start to be tempted, the Fold would need much better specs to make it at least comparable to the S22 Ultra.
The Fold 4 is missing IP68 water resistance and has a plastic main screen, a multi-year downgrade compared to the Note/S line.
The Fold 4 main display, despite its physical size, has lower resolution than the S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra has about 13% more pixels than the Fold 4; even the Note 9 from 2018 had more pixels than the Fold 4. I care more about resolution than about physical screen size; if the details are present, you can hold the phone close enough to see them. (If your near vision isn't good enough for that to work, you can get a $5 pair of reading glasses instead of a $1,400 resolution-downgrade.)
The display difference is even more stark when watching videos with a standard aspect ratio. Then, the screen width is the limiting factor, and the S22 Ultra has 42% more pixels for video than the Fold 4 (there, the Fold 4 is even worse than the Fold 3).
I also care about the camera's capabilities. The Fold 4's camera has only 50 MP and 3x optical zoom, worse than the 108 MP and 5x zoom on the Note 20 Ultra in 2020, and far worse than the S22 Ultra's 10x optical zoom.
In sum, if I switched to a Fold 4, I'd be paying a large sum to reduce my phone's display resolution, camera resolution, camera zoom, and build quality. All I'd get in exchange is the ability to hold the phone a little further away to see the available details. For me, that's not a worthwhile tradeoff.
So the camera on the S22 is crap camera?I own a mobile accessories business at the fleamarket. I don't sell many fold or flip cases. The times I get a customer with a Fold they typically seem to be older. 50 on up. They all love the phone most of them, especially the larger main screen. I guess they like it for reading stuff and emails is what I'm thinking. Since the cameras suck, most of them are not into taking photos constantly.
My beef is Samsung doesn't make the outside display bigger, the inner display has a number of units that keep breaking, and the cameras are trash. For the hefty price tag you'd think they'd pull out all the tricks and make it up to par with the S22 Ultra. They skimped on the Fold 4 just like the Fold 3. No reason to put a crap camera on it. Makes no sense to me at all.

I've talked to 3 cell phone repair places and every one of them say the only issue with the inside screen is the screen protector starts bubbling over time, which is understandable as it usually bubbles at the crease where it bends. I'll give you that, Samsung needs to figure that out, but Samsung will replace one free and after that it's $20, so it won't break the bank either.
If there was a lot of screen issues we would hear about it just like we did with the note 7 battery exploding. Will there be some screen issues out there, absolutely just like every other phone has screen issues here and there.
I will agree with you on the older people owning them. It does surprise me at how many older people own them. I suppose part is because the bigger screen. I also think the other part is older people tend to have more money to pay for them also.
the OP said that the Fold cameras were Not up to par with the S22USo the camera on the S22 is crap camera?

The fold 4 camera probably be equivalent to s22+I don't think anyone going in with Fold 4 is thinking the camera would be better than S22U but it's a good shooter and surprisely can handle its own
One of my peeps I follow on YouTube took a side by side ..Fold 4 did well in many side by side ...

I know. The fold 4 camera compares to the S22. People say the S22 camera is good, so that's why I asked the questionthe OP said that the Fold cameras were Not up to par with the S22U
