This might be a me problem but ever since going from the N9 to the N10 if the phone face is up and it's off it takes me a few seconds to distinguish top from bottom. Maybe no buttons on one side? Maybe a white dots in the case showing the top. Anyone else having this issue?

Lol I can see this happening, feel the top and bottom the bottom is usually open on cases for speakers, charging port, spen

Mines in a Samsung Black leather case so I know immediately which way it is as the bottom is an open design.

I do however see what you mean.

I did that all the time with the Note 8 and 9 but not so much with the 10

I have had this happen when I'm using the Supcase with the clear back. because the corners are rounded and the buttons are flush, it really is hard to distinguish top from bottom when I'm taking it out of my pocket and the screen is off.

The button asymmetry makes it pretty easy to tell. Also the S-pen if you can see the top or bottom edge. Or the camera pinhole, if there's enough light to see it easily. (I use AOD, which makes it trivial.)

But the easiest solution is to always put the phone down in the same orientation. Then you can count on that orientation when you pick it up.

the exception to that for me is always camera up when not on charging stand and the camera gives it away.

I'm using the same case on occasion.

I know all the buttons are on the left when looking at the screen for right side up. :)

I only use AOD at night so that doesn't work for me. I normally put my phone in my pocket bottom up, so when I pull it out, it's always right side up. I'm usually pretty careful how I set my phone down.

My Tab S5e, that was another matter. until I got a case for it, I was always picking up and it was upside down.

I have a little red sticker on my front facing camera since I rarely use the selfie camera. :)

the way I do it is when I pick up the phone, I feel for the camera hump on the top left. If not there, I am holding it wrong.
