Urgent-Help battery life so bad on my Moto G 2nd Gen

Hi guys my first post loll so a newbie

My Moto G 2nd Gen battery life is soo poor on a average it only lasts 4-6 hours a day. After looking at battery settings it states 30% used in screen :/ so confusing my brightness is always on 20-30( don't like bright screen) it also states 20% in Exchange Services(Email sign)

P.S it wasn't as bad prior to the Lollipop update.

Any advise and assistance would be much appreciated.

1. How old is it?

2. How low do you let the battery get before you charge it?

3. Did you do a factory reset (after backing everything up - see Backing up an Android Device) after the update?

(Constantly getting the last ounce of power out of the battery can kill it in 6 months. And a lot of Lollipop updates don't "settle down" without a factory reset.)

Hi Rukbat thanks for the assistants

1. Its 3/4 months old, fairly new.

2.it all depends sometimes 5%, 10% on numerous occasions I just stick the charge in even though battery is healthy.

3. I havent factory reset this device since lollipop update, would you suggest this.

P.s only couple of times my phone has switched off due to empty battery, usually I get it charged before that.

I would suggest a reset. This allows the framework of the OS to rebuild. Part of your poor battery life may be conflicting data that the reset would eliminate.
