urgent!! s3 i9300 rooted flash rom , flashed backup micro memory card

please help!! ive not ever got this far, i had my brother once rom root my s3, slimbean and still in testing with bug repairs, i managed to track stable update,

i backed up all phone to micro sd card, and gmail, i have huge finger and after flashing phone, i also flashed micro sd and lost my new update, the phone went to downloading mode, green android with dont turn off

ive tried getting new update on desk top but it wont save to desktop.
i dunno how to get the files from gmail save point.

im a damn mechanic and this cant beat me!
please help!

sorry, is there a way to get these files save to a external micro sd card to load in the phone?
is a usb cable needed and directly off laptop sent or upload to phone?

Got USB debugging on? You'll need it
Step 1: Save some Odin files anywhere you like.
Step 2: Connect your cable.
Open the version of Odin that works for you.
Step 4: Get your files inside. (Phone is actually Modem.)
Now go to download mode on your phone.
Step 6: Now press the start button.
Wait for it to finish, then you're done. BUT don't forget to backup with Nandroid in case your phone gets bricked.

I'm assuming you have CWM. Enter recovery mode (google enter recovery mode if you don't have a clue.). Then go to Backup and Restore, and select Backup. Wait for it to finish, and then reboot. Done!

1. yes usb debugging is on!
2. ive got odin loaded on laptop.
3.do i restore original jelly bean or put root rom on that i have from slimrom?
4.i used android file contoller, cwm i didnt use.

im digusted with this slip up as yes i have no clue whats what but trying!

ive got the phone into recovery boot mode, i remove sd card and on pc theres the cwm file, empty!

ok.. phew..

after some much sd card in and out ive got the s3 gt i9300 into recovery mode..(purple screen and super small writing!!)

ive sat through all the RECOVERY tabs in the whole sub-recovery menu, switching on where i could, I got kies to open and download new firmware (automated) but failed for unknown reason.
on the spare sd micro i had the three rom updates, when in recovery i goto files they are not there, and when restoring the phone scrolling report say "no file found ; (/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup ) no files found.

is there a emulator/pc app appling loader/ or the sort where one can upload new rom to the pc, and with usb cable sync the new rom to the phone?
does the phone need a kernel? if so, what type is recommended??
does the phone need to switched on in recovery mode or the normal power on? (switching the phone normally on executes, goes to the samsung and model decal image and freezes there)

im from south africa, my carrier is Vodacom and has pathetic in assistance, and if you call developer help here ...... there is none!

There seems to be quite a bit listed here - a few questions are in order:
- what firmware are you trying to load? Do you want to return to (unrooted) stock?

- why don't you remove the SD card from the phone and put it in your computer? Then you could put whatever firmware you want on it and reload the firmware via your custom Recovery software.

im trying to load rooted firmware, just not weekly but stable.
slimrom-d2spr-4.4.2.build.3-OFFICIAL-3060 and matching gapps (im sure to say is similar to the kernels)
i found also my s3 ive been calling s3-i9300, infact on battery compartment says s3-gt-i9300, is that a major diff?

it dawn on me that the prob lies not in the phone but the sd card,
i had a phenomenon on my laptop where i had a disc drive not functioning (the sd card originally out the s3, 8gig)
i have a well maintained pc for my mechanics and software for cars/trucks/etc
as i struggled to even copy files from sd to the laptop to send to phone via usb in download mode
i remove sd out laptop and the power up pc and drive problem gone.

im replacing sd with new one and will keep u updated in about two hours

ok.. remind me NEVER to attemp this NOOB **** again!!

where i stand currently...

new sd card.. in recovery mode..
i can access upto there and no further. (im doing something wrong!)
either i havnt got working files or the phone isnt reading the sd card still(but if i mount sd card on recovery mode i can access it via laptop)

lets start at the begining.

1. i need a new root rom for s3 gt-i9300 stable version and where to download as the ones i find have no download link and loops to other pages
2 kernel to match/gapps to suite root rom also a download place required
3 i have odin but doesnt see the phone when connected via usb am i missing something in operations and causing it myself??
4 with the phone being flashed, no backup, coming from a rooted slimline rom, do i unroot it to load new files? or how do i do it when rooted? best goto original rom?
IM IN DEBT TO ALL HELP GIVEN AS IVE NOT EVER ATTEMPTED THIS AND WONT TRY AGAIN!!
3 days straight struggling with this phone. i wont change from android, i will get it fixed! or worst buy new phone s3 gt-i9300 again!!(loyal to android!!)

in short i am ***** sample 101!!
my entire business runs off the s3 and info is on there.... (scream/hair pull!!)

please help!!??
