I'm heading to the US from the UK in a couple of weeks and have an opportunity to pick up a Galaxy S9+. Specifically the unlocked version SM-G965UZKAXAA.

Will this work fully in the UK using the EE network?

Are they any differences between this and the SMG965F which is due to be released in the UK?

Any other considerations I'm missing?

Might be some radio issues but everything else should work fine.

This is a good question. I too am going to the USA.
But I wanted to preorder

PLease can you explain what you mean by radio issues?

Is there anything I need to do before I leave the USA - I have seen people state that I have to make a 5 min call for region unlocking - is this the case with Samsung?

I dont need Samsung pay - I Have seen the issues, but are there any other apps I should be aware might not work/ download?

DO I avoid the equinos version ( I don't understand what that is though)

Thanks in advance!

Dropped a Vodaphone SIM into my unlocked AT&T S7 and it worked just fine. Also worked fine on Orange on the Continent. (Phone, text, and data).

Should be the same with my S9.

By the way, with the length of time (greater than 10 days) I was going to be there, getting a local SIM was way cheaper than AT&T's "international plans".

ooooooh I think I should do it - i'm gonna check how much Ill SAve after tax - Thanks

Just make sure the phone is AT&T/T-Mobile compatible. They are GSM, a global standard. Verizon/Sprint use a different, more local standard CDMA.

If you can choose to get a phone from either side of the Atlantic, remember that North American models have the Snapdragon 845, which is the SoC of choice in the S9+ (thus far!)

Ok so im in the usa and wanted to go to a Samsung store to buy a 128 g s9. I just realised in San francisco they dont have a samsung flagship store. Eeeeekkk

I just want to kno how u guys are doing with your phine in the Uk when bought in the Usa .
