USA version Nexus 5X in Japan

Will my USA version Nexus 5X work in Japan using Docomo sim card?

When I wanted to know if a Nexus 5x from the United Arab Emirates would work in Mexico with a Telcel card, I asked Telcel. They said it would and it works fine. I'd contact Docomo and ask.

To my understanding, Docomo smartphones in Japan are compatible with T-Mobile in US. I purchased a Nexus 5X at Docomo and brought it into the US. The same 5X is usable on T-mobile.
