I'm using Samsung galaxy A8 recently I did factory reset after that I can't able to use USB with OTG and I try with USB cable with laptop it's only charging not showing my mobile storage. I tried few options from YouTube but nothing happen. In my laptop I check with device manager I can't see any option like port or other devices. Most YouTube videos indicating to update these options. Kindly help to resolve this issue. One important note before my mobile phone is works perfectly with USB and laptop. Android 6.0.1

Although you should be given the option on your phone what MODE you want to be in when you connect via USB, you can set it in Developers Options + Select USB Configuration = MTP (media Transfer Protocol)

How to get to Access Developer Options:

  1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number. On a Samsung Galaxy device, go to Settings > About device > Build number.
  2. Tap Build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, “You are now a developer!”
  3. Go back to Settings, whereyou’ll find a Developer options entry in the menu
