USB C Headphones with S8?

I have a nice pair of USB C only headphones. Without using any adapters to move to the 3.5mm input on the S8, can I plug my headphones directly into the usb c port and get audio? thanks.

You should. The S8/S8+ fully implements USB-C. Which includes power, data, and audio/video.

You can always go to a Best Buy and plug them into to a demo model before buying.

I'm thinking if it runs DEX through the USB C port, it should have audio.

First update: I plugged my USB C only headphones into the USB C port on my LG G6, which also has a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, and they worked perfectly, so I am hopeful that it will work on an S8, since they both copy each other as much as they can.
