Try cleaning your port...maybe some dust or object blocking the charge...

It's also possible, if you're a bit rough plugging the cord in and unplugging it, that you loosened one or more of the power leads, and the phone will have to be repaired. (A Type C connector is a lot better than a microUSB connector, but a lot worse than the power socket in a PC.)

Mustang's wouldn't have returned to functioning if it were a hardware issue. Of course someone else's may be. It would break my heart to return my phone but if that happened to me I would get a warranty replacement. If I have to reflash the firmware may as well set up a new phone.

I assume you have checked multiple cords and chargers? I know mine is VERY finicky about which USB C cable works. I have 2 cables that work fine on LG but don't work on Note9. I just had to buy a new cable. It's a cheap one too but it works.

I have the same problem with usb c otg flash drives too. Some work on my LG that don't in the Note9 but I did find one that does work. No idea why.

The reason most would have to do warranty was I got lucky the moment it recognize the computer I knew it was my only chance to flash it . I had to play around with the cable until it finally could charge with computer and communicate otherwise I would had sent it in , I did have a ticket open to send to Samsung but worked out.

I would return to Best Buy or Verizon. I hate sending a phone in the mail and I don't trust Samsung.

OT what is the blue icon next to my name?

I took my N9 to a local Samsung support center to have the charging port replaced under warranty. It wasn't fast charging. They put it in a machine to do this. I wouldn't recommend having it done any other way or you risk losing IP68. Note 9s should still be covered under warranty.

They had to replace the motherboard? I think the charger port is part of it.

I've used a compressed air, it worked, but only for a bit. I don't usually plug in the phone so I'm not rough with it. I've also tried many different cords and to no avail.
