USB C tethering Problem

The Samsung Note 8 will not connect via USB C cable connection to your computer if you have "wifi" active on your phone. turn off wifi and reconnect the usb c cable and it will work.

It's not that it's on, it's that it's active. Tethering is just for mobile connections (whether via USB or WiFi, the phone cannot share a WiFi connection)

Actually, yes the phone can share its wifi connection.

I usually keep it off because wifi public wifi hotspots tend to be much slower than my LTE connection.
