USB C to HDMI Screen Mirroring not Working

[Android Central Question]

I'm trying to mirror my screen onto my TV through a USB C to HDMI adapter I bought on amazon (tons of great reviews) and nothing is coming through. Is it possible that my specific phone doesn't support this type of connection? I've seen many others successfully do this on the internet. My phone is the Red Magic 3.

Welcome to Android Central! I believe the phone has to support MHL or SlimPort. If it doesn't, then those adapters won't work.

The Red Magic 3 sadly does not support it.
