usb cable

[AC Question]

I recently lost my usb/charging cable to my s5. I can use any of my old droid or samsung cables to charge it but I am wondering if it will allow me to add music to my phone with it. I tried it earlier and my phone only appears to charge when I connect to my computer. Is there something I am missing? Or do I just have to buy another cord?
