USB charging turns phone on

I turned my phone off and plugged it into the computer to charge. The wall charger isn't working (definitely the charger)

anyway, the phone turns on whenever i plug it in. Is that suppose to happen?

I think so. Just because it activates your sd card. Plugging it in to the wall or car it should just charge.Po

that's just weird. that has never happened on any other droid i've had.

just plugged it into the wall and its not turning on. so its gotta be the USB mode
