USB charging

Hees the prpblem I'm having. When I connect my Nexus S to my work PC to charge it, the "USB Connect" screen comes up. I hit either the back or home button, because I don't want USB mode, I just want to charge. My home screen comes up and I'm thinking everything is cool, but a few seconds later, sometimes minutes it isn't consistant, the USB Connect screen comes back on and interupts what I was doing.

No matter how many times I hit the back or home buttons, the USB Connect screen keeps coming back. Making it very difficult to do anyghing with it plugged in.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a setting somewhere that I can change so I can charge and use my phone at the same time?

Have you tried a different USB cable?

I have, with no change. I think I figured it out though. I had plugging the cable into the port on the front of my PC. I switched to the USB 2.0 port on the back, and haven't had it happen since.

Not sure why it would make a difference, but apparently it does.

That usually happens when there's a loose connection, maybe the port is a little loose?
