I have a Nexus 7, currently running Android 5.1.1 I distinctly recall being able to connect a keyboard and mouse to it, through an active USB hub and an OTG adapter, but now it recognizes neither.
This past weekend, I paired it with a bluetooth keyboard, but because the bluetooth keyboard was expensive, bulky, heavy, and difficult to pair (among other reasons), I ultimately returned it for a refund. It was at that point that (for the first time in possibly several years), tried hooking it up to a known-good USB keyboard and mouse.
The keyboard and mouse are in daily use. I checked the OTG cable with a thumb drive; it worked fine. I connected the keyboard and mouse to my Mac, through the active hub, and it worked fine.
Any ideas?
