USB not connecting

Hello and Help -
My OnePlus One has not been connecting to USB since upgrade to marshmallow. Android 6.0.1
In FX app I select Connect To Storage the USB Storage is not listed as a choice. Only Internal storage. Anyone know where the USB went or how to get to USB. Also the 3 dot menu on top right corner to select USB are gone from other apps. And when I connect to computer with USB cables I get charging but no longer get file transfer to open. OnePlus is also not showing on computer as a device. Worked fine before upgrade.

Welcome back! Was this an upgrade from Lollipop to Marshmallow? If so, then it might be because Marshmallow defaults the USB connection to Charge Only (at least, on Nexus and Samsung devices, as far as I know). When you connect via USB, swipe down the notification panel and look for the USB notification. Tap it and select MTP.

Thanks, I had tried what you suggested. No 'Charge notification' comes up like I used to get before the upgrade to Marshmallow. No USB notification or MTP shows up.

Try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps here, but make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition, and not Wipe Data/Factory Reset: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...i-perform-a-full-factory-reset&token=PXyGAYHQ

It Worked. Even better than before Marshmallow.

Glad to hear it! A little puzzled, though--didn't I mention a similar process in my previous post?
