Been searching for a solution for hours and can not figure it out....

When I plug my phone into my laptop, my phone does not pop up with the usb symbol where you can select to connect it as a media device or camera. The phone is charging, but will not give me the option to connect it to the computer.

Oh, and just to **** me off further, windows wont install the drivers for the phone.

Firmware is up to date, software, etc... Debugging is unchecked and I have done multiple resets.

If anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.

The issue is on every computer and I have tried several USB cables. Both the micro as well as the 3.0 style that comes with the phone.

Also did a complete system restore to no avail.

Tried Kies 3 or the new Smart Switch back up. You will know if the cable is working, and get the drivers checked. Maybe try Kies first, as you can sync and copy media. Smart Switch makes a backup file, but not of everything.
