Hi, I bought my Samsung about a month ago, and for some reason, I appear to be getting USB issues.

1. When it does get recognized by the PC, it only transfers a number of the files, because it always gets stuck on one.

2. When I plug it in the USB Port, it charges and does not get recognized.

3. It has started to say "the device has malfunctioned".

4: I saw a video file called "mtptemp" and it would not open.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Welcome to the forums!

Have you tried a different port? Often that is the first thing to look at. Another thing is to not plug it into a hub.

I am sorry I have not replied in a while. I now know the problem. It says "MTP Driver did not successfully install". Any info on how I can fix it?

Is USB debugging checked in the development mode?
