Has anyone ever used attachment that comes with samung phones, that has USB on one end,
I would like to transfer some photos to USB drive.

Should work fine. I don't use it as I have a couple of things drivers that have a type A and type C connection.

You should also unmount it before removing it by pulling down the notification shade, then the notification for the drive itself. If you use it on a Windows PC afterwards, it will probably detect an error. Fixing it though Windows had already worked fine, but it's an annoying message at least.

I've used it with a 2TB Samsung SSD on my Note 9 works great, but yes unmount first.
