Use of Blackberry Playbook at home using wifi connection

I have Verizion's DSL with there router / moden with wireless Wi-Fi and My BlackBerry Playbook connect up fine. Connect In the same manner as My Gateway Netbook, I like it, wish I could Install Android 4.2.2 OS as has been promised. Would like more information.
