Use of Live Message in Dez Bryant Note 8 commercial

In the commercial I just saw on the TV, someone wrote "I'm better than Dez Bryant" in a live message on a Note 8, but when I attempt to write exactly the same thing in a live message, without the sparkle effect, I get the "input limit reached" message before I'm done writing. I'm curious if anyone can actually complete writing that sentence in a live message without getting the dreaded "input limit reached". Perhaps there's some issue with my Note 8?

Worked for me too, but only after a couple tries. You have to write really wispy, if that makes sense.

I did mine on the first try. But generally speaking, yes, you have to write really quick to get it in. With that said, this phrase, I still had some time left to write a little more.

just saw the one where Dez Bryant is drawing the other guy as a small blanket and then signing it with his name. now that one I don't think would really work.

Hmmm. What would make it go over the input limit on mine when it works for all of you? Mine is a Verizon Note 8. I've made no real changes to my phone other than install a few apps since I got the phone a week ago. I'll poke around the settings and see what I can find. Thanks.

If you look above the background where you're writing and under the pen options you'll see a bar fill up from left to right as you write. That's how you know how much time you have left, once it's full you're done

Understood. However, the moving red bar is not time dependent, it is strictly affected by pen-strokes. I just can't make enough of the needed pen strokes to finish writing the sentence before reaching the input limit. I just don't understand how all of you can do it but I cannot.
