Use Pre's ear plugs

Since there isn't a pair ear plugs come with Photon, I try to use my Pre's and found that the button on the mic can start Photon's voice command. This was a nice surprise and want to share with other Pre owners who moved to Photon. I am sure other head set may also work the same way, but this is one more thing that I can reuse from Pre.

Yes but so far I can't get the button to hang up on a call. I wondered if there was different signaling used by android phones to make the button do that or if that just wasn't an option.

Hm the one that came with the original Pre? I use it for a mic while driving, but didn't think the button did anything, where do I have to be for it to do voice commands? I know it does Speech to Text in texts...

Yes, that's fine a problem. But it is not worse than without the ear plugs. So it does look this may miss some commands.

I don't generally care for earplugs, but I read this thread, and came across my Pre earplugs as I was putting it away, and I thought I'd give it a try. They didn't fit. Mechanically, the hole in the Photon was too big for the plug at the end of the earphones. I could shove it in, but it fit very loosely and would have fallen out if I'd tried to do anything with it.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there an adapter? Should I complain to the Sprint store? What's up?

Thanks.

Uh, it seems like you may have 2.5 mm instead of 3.5mm. 2.5 use to be the standard for cell phones, but now the switched to the universal 3.5. Are you sure that the ones you have came with the Pre because mine fit fine, and I got my Pre day one.

The baggie said "Palm". It's possible they came with a Treo.

Thanks, that's a relief to hear.

My original pre headset fit but the sound kept cutting in and out. And I tried it on two different Pre headsets. I gave up and got Motorola brand and no problem!

What does the Motorola ones have that the Pre doesn't?

Also, does anyone know if there are options for what the button can do on the wired headset?

I bought these headphones to use with the Photon too... Does anyone know how to get it to pause Pandora with the center button like my Apple earbuds used to do with my EVO?

I was also searching for the website that provide the best earplugs and luckily I find out one which is Aussieearplugs it is the best store for buying earplugs. You just visit one time. I am sure that you will find the earplugs as you require.
