Android Central Question

Hello, i installed Nova Launcher on my Samsung Galaxy J6 device, and in the stock launcher, all icons look squared, but compatible with all apps. In Nova Launcher, some icons show like in TouchWiz, but other icons look bad. Here's an image:

Look at the Minecraft icon, or at the Amino icon. It looks different with Nova. Is there a way to disable Nova changing the icons? Thanks

EDIT: I wanted to send a link to a image to show the icons, but this forum marked it as spam :(
Where i can send them?

You can attach the image directly to the post, too. In Nova you can select the icon set in the personalization section of Nova's settings. There you can tell it to use a custom icon set or the stock one; if the icon set doesn't support the app you have, then it'll show the stock icon with whatever background the icon set has.

For Samsung Experience, however, if you downloaded and are using a Theme from the Galaxy Theme Store, those usually also include custom icons (which might be what you're seeing). Unfortunately those wouldn't be available to Nova (unless you find that specific icon set as a separate download just for the icons).

Hello. So, if i can attach them, i'll send them. And, no, i don't have any Icon Pack downloaded from Samsung Themes nor Google Play Store.
Here are the images:

I want the Nova Launcher icons look like Samsung ones (look at the Minecraft icon in TouchWiz and in Nova, they look different)

Ah, OK. Yeah, I see what you mean. The icon is the same, it's the way the launcher shows it that's different. Samsung is zooming into it, while Nova is showing it inside the generic border frame. Not sure if you'll achieve the same look, but you can try going into Nova's settings, the LOOK AND FEEL section and make sure that the 'Normalize Icon Size' is turned off, that the stock icon pack is selected, and that Adaptive Icons are set to the right look.

That's because that's how Nova is set to use the icon frames. It's a Samsung feature to crop the icon to take the shape. You need to use an icon pack that crops the icon as well for those that don't match it, Icon packs made by Saurabh Gupta does it, so if you use his icon packs, your icons get cropped to that shape as well. I own several of his packs. His Fusion UI pack has the same shape as the Samsung icons. It's not free though.
