Thank you so much. I just tried it and it works but I'm just worried it will mess up my unlimited data. I'll just have to find out later on if my bill has increase or if they take away my UD. But thanks anyways

I hope somebody checks out this hack after the latest OTA.

It disabled my mobile hot-spot for me. I was using switch pro but it no longer works. I downloaded foxfi with full key and that does work albeit slightly finicky.

my foxfi is working after and uninstall and reinstall....i have the paid app

I've tried the uninstall / reinstall of Fox-Fi Paid a few times + elixir 2 widgets & not wrking on my Note 2 after 4.3 update. Fox-Fi typically isn't opening after throwing up the Subscription Required screen & the Hot spot icon doesn't show in the Notification bar... Not pleased, but I'm the one who updated without reading here 1st...

I guess Verizon has paid the high dollar programmers at Samsung to plug this hole in the last month.
I have a Galaxy S3 and accidentally clicked the agree button to get a new firmware download.

I was using 1-click teather which worked GREAT on 23 Dec. on 24 Dec I got the update (first one I have accepted in 8 months) and my hotspot is gone.
I get the message and the application has not started yet. Does not show up in the notification toobar

I am really disappointed with Verizon.

Spoke to Teir II support and they basically said.. too bad..
they tried to sell me on the share-everything plan..

what a run around.. Verizon gets $300 every month from me for 5 phones (mix data and feature) and I am fed up !!!

I will probably start shopping around

i think this means you have to root.

Can you downgrade to the Pre update software?

Also, I have 5 lines of service with 2 smartphones including one with unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE and 3 dumb phones and pay $140 per month.

Yes a legacy plan. I responded to Mark Jeffrey , who is also on a legacy plan.

Btw, assuming liability of a legacy plan doesn't have to cost anything. Heck, I have a line which I am willing to give for free if anyone wants it. No unlimited data on the line, but if you want a legacy family share plan, just add a line to convert it to a legacy family share plan.
