I did a search and couldn't find a relative answer so here goes. I am with Sprint and want a Note 4 in black. Sprint for whatever reason no longer has them - none of them. If I pay full price for one from Verizon can I use it on Sprint and will it play nice? Thanks in advance. All input appreciated.

I believe they both use CDMA, so it should be possible. All you have to do is find someone you know that has a Verizon smartphone, and call Sprint with the MEID# and see if they can use that phone on their network, to make sure.

Thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I've done the checking with both carriers and got the party line - "no can do". I was hopeful that someone here had managed to succeed and knows something I don't or the carrier phone answerers don't.

Although both are CDMA it cannot be done. Maybe you can find one on ebay

I agree that the Carriers will say "NO" since they want to sell you a new phone from their stock. That is why I suggested that you get a Verizon Phone and Call in the MEID info to check. I needed to get a temporarily cheap replacement phone in the past and was told by SPRINT's Customer Service "to go to a Pawn Shop and find any CDMA phone, not necessarily a Sprint phone, and call it in to check compatibility before I buy it". I ended up buying a new one instead, but I understood from that, that some CDMA phones from other CDMA Carriers may work.
