used Inc help

I just bought a used Htc Inc, it has been reset to factory, verizon says it has to be activated to verizon to get it back to work, widgets phone pad etc, i want to activate on page plus, is there any work around? Thanks sorry for long post new to droid.

What is page plus? The incredible has to be activated on verizon. Can't be used on another carrier

The Inc can be flashed to be used on many other CDMA carriers....

I would of asked the question first THEN buy the phone. Not the other way around....

But like the person said above me, apparently it is possible to flash the phone to work on another carrier but they have to be CDMA and use the same frequency bands. Do a search for people flashing to the carrier cricket wireless. It might help you out in this situation.

I have no experience in this because I use the HTC Incredible on Verizon like intended. Sorry!

I did ask and it will work on Page Plus which is a prepaid and uses a Verizon carrier, just way cheaper. I did not know when you do a factory reset it erases all of system and it is downloaded when activated, my error was a factory reset.

You probably have to register the ESN with Page Plus. I would call them to have it activated.

I think what the op is referring to is how to get the phone working without it being activated....so the functions csn be used....WiFi, mp3, navigation, etc. As if it were like ipod touch.... then he can get it to register with the carrier other than Verizon.

You can run through the setup using Wi-Fi and your g-mail account but the phone part obviously will not work.

I think that is what the person needs to do, to get it away from the initial screen, so that all the non phone functions can be used.

Thanks for the reply's, what happened when he did a factory reset it reverted to a screen that says English or Spanish then will dial *228 or 911 only no other functions will work, i took the phone to Verizon and they say when reactivated it will download and install software. I activated on page plus but need to dial there activation number which i cant because it will only dial Verizon number. Thanks
