Used Pixel 2 with no fingerprint sensor?

Just bought a Pixel 2 used and there's no sign of fingerprint sensor hardware at all. When I set it up, it didn't ask me to add fingerprints like it should. I've researched and I guess there have been known issues but is there a way to flash the software for it? I ran the DevCheck app and it doesn't even show up as having one.

It was cheap and it's holding me over until the 4a, so it's not the absolute end of the world but I do really like the feature and wonder if I can get it back somehow.

That's very odd. I haven't heard of this issue with the phone before. And it doesn't come up under security in settings?

Open settings and type Pixel Imprint

Nope, I'm thinking it's just a problem w/ the phone. I've seen people saying the same thing in others places and their only option was to send to Google. It's not worth it to me so I'm just going to live with it until I can get the 4a.

My Pixel 2 fingerprint reader never did work, right from the beginning. It will "buzz" when touched, but rarely EVER recognized my fingerprints. It's no big deal. since you can use a pin or pattern, but it isn't as fast. I'm looking forward to face recognition with the Pixel 5.

That sounds like a good plan. I'm sorry this is happening to you.
