using a Nandroid Backup after switching ROMs

If I made a Nandroid Backup while on JT's Super Clean ROM then switch to another ROM will I be able to use the backup to get all the apps and settings back to the way I had them?

I really want to try different ROM/kernel combos but hate starting over on settings and apps.

when i reinstall one of the backups, i have to back and re install all my apps. it does save contacts and text threads etc.

but appbrain will catalogue all the apps you had previously.

i think. no expert and i may be doing it all wrong. i have had to restore my phone 3 times now...

steep learning curve around here.

restoring a nandroid will revert you to your original rom, they are meant to be used if you mess something up.

you can use an app like titanium backup to backup and restore your apps.

settings have to be done whenever you flash. pita i know, but that's the way it is
