Using a Sprint phone on Verizon

I have a broken Sprint LG G5 that I am thinking about reparing and then activating on Verizon. A guy at my local phone repair shop told me that a Sprint LG G5 is not going to work as well on the Verizon network as a Verizon LG G5 does. Is there any truth to this? Verizon says my Sprint phone is compatible with Verizon, but I don't want to pay to have it repaired if it's not going to work very well. Why would a Verizon model work better on the Verizon network than a Sprint model? Is the repair guy being paranoid?

Verizon - 3G CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
LTE 2,3,4,5,7,13

Sprint - 3G HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
LTE 2,4,5,12,13,17,25

Slight differences. You'll mainly be missing 4G bands 3 and 7. Since Verizon's main band seems to be 13 (and 2 and 4 as secondaries), it should work, though.
