using AT&T Galaxy S4 on T-Mobile?

hey guys. I'm currently with AT&T, but I will be switching to T-Mobile in February. My current phone is on it's last leg, and I'm looking to replace it ASAP. I'm curious if there will be any problems if I buy an unlocked Galaxy S4 that was from AT&T, and then use it on T-Mobile. will everything turn out ok?

or should I buy a T-Mobile Galaxy S4, and run it on AT&T until I can transfer to T-Mobile?

I did some reading, and found that you can only get full speed out of an AT&T GS4 on T-Mobile if it's in an area where the network has been "refarmed"...if I followed these steps to modify the AT&T GS4, would I ever need to worry about these "refarmed" networks?

Do you know if you will be getting a good signal with TMobile? Why not go with an AT&T mvno like Straight Talk ( which I use and love) Aio or Go Phone?
