Using cell phone as modem, HELP!!!

Help on using my EVO 4G Lte as a modem for my Excite 305. People keep saying it can be done, but I would appreciate any help on how to do it?? Anyone have any suggestions? So far I am really liking my tablet, but this would make it even more versatile.

Wireless tethering is your best option. Not sure if you will need to be rooted to pull it off but that is normally the way you achieve something like this.

I use FoxFi to tether with. I am using a LG Spectrum and it works great.
