Using dark mode helps battery

Dark mode may have slightly improved my battery life but the bigger win is for my eyes and that damn blaring glare is finally gone. Phone app, contacts, google news a pleasure now. That bright white was the worst choice ever for background.

I don't mind some white either but using the phone/contacts app was so stark to be annoying. Just my opinion. Be nice if they did the calendar sometime as well.

You know what I like about Google approach their dark theme is like a dark grey , like my 1+6 its black . I think the dark grey better in my opinion

Absolutely, did the same. That's not dark, that's black. I prefer the dark grey, so easy on the eyes and brain.
