Using Galaxy Pro 12.2 for Presentations and Training

Have I frightened everyone away? Sniff.

Update:bought the Netgear Push2TV 3000, works perfectly to the TV, which is great - no strain on the USB/MHL port with heavy cables and adapters.
But using it to send to my HP w2207 computer monitor, with a HDMI to DVI adapter, I get an "out of range" message on the monitor: not sure if this is a refresh rate prob, or a screen resolution prob. (Monitor's max screen res is 1680x1050 compared to the Note Pro's 2560 by 1600). Had hoped the monitor would simply default the signal to its native max.
Would an active HDMI to VGA converter do any better, anyone with tech savvy on this?

Sounds to me like the Push2TV adapter has its own set resolutions that it will support and the monitor doesn't support them. I would think that the adapter would step down to 720p though but wonder if the introduction of the DVI adapter is somehow linked to the Push2TV not recognizing the supported resolutions on the monitor.

Maybe I need some sort of video switch box that allows control of the resolution as it is passed through. I had a Digitek box that converted composite video and svideo to VGA and it provided choices for the video out resolution. Even had a remote control!
Anyone know of such a device? (Main aim of this exercise is to control my pc from the NP via Splashtop or Remote PC with the video output to my computer screen, in a way that avoids the current situation of a long DVI cable crossing the lounge room between computer and monitor)

I suppose I could just make do with a cable connection between the NP and my monitor but the only one I have tried presented the NP screen in what looked like the equivalent of a 4:3 format on a wide screen, and a little fuzzy. This was a third-party connection that needed an 11-pin to 9-pin adapter. Maybe the genuine Samsung MHL with a DVI or VGA adapter would work better, without the need for the 11-9 pin adapter?

Or maybe I should look at making my pc widi enabled to connect the pc wirelessly to its own monitor via the Push2TV3000. (I don't think it is at the moment - it is about 3-4 yrs old)

Hello everyone. I am new to this thread but the information contained is very important to me! Just one quick question. Has the original problem regarding presenting a presentation wirelessly using a remote control like kind of presenter been solved? I am still trying to find a remote presenter for my classes. Any help out there? Thanks to all in advance!

I have a Push2TV. It works with HDMI, but it won't work with VGA (even with an adapter). I tried and called the company.

I've completed my course. I used the tablet setup above about two dozen times, and there were no serious problems. A couple times I had to reboot or disconnect/reconnect the tablet to get the projector to start, but but I've had worse problems with tablet PCs. Usually I would simply plug the Samsung Galaxy Pro in and it would be perfect.

There are still some small software glitches that I had to work around: VLC did something unexpected when connected to the projector and the "shortcut" app was a bit faulty. Nonetheless I found the overall experience better than I was expecting, and will happily use this setup the next time I teach.

I use a Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) I'm not having any success connecting my Samsung All Share Cast Dongle to my Belkin HDMI to VGA convertor to the projector. It seems to work when the dongle is connected to a TV without any adapters. I'm thinking the adapter is causing this. Also, my mirroring turns off when I play a movie through Flixter. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i would suggest that you buy a tranformer laptop tablet it has also, has an application like snote there are a lot of apps that you can find in windows 8.1 for lecture notes. I also have a note pro. 12.2 but hancom office is too far from microsoft office or at least you can install other free office but also powerful like open office or libre office. note pro. 12 is very good as a tablet but still fall short for being a laptop. tranformer like asus does have a good battery life like note and lots of storage and much cheeper:) with an 11.6 IPS screen . or buy an samsung ativ pc with an spen ready. this transformer laptop are also lightweight and have an HDMI port ready and available usb port. You can also use the usb port to connect to vga projector if you have usb to vga connector.
