I am curious if any of the service providers in the Toronto area would allow me to purchase a 30 day sim card for calls and data?

I just noticed the story on the main page regarding the UK and was curious if our Canadian pals offered anything like this?

Also, which providers are up there that I could look into? I think I recall Rogers as being one.

Thank you

You may want to check wind mobile, they use the same hspa frequencies as tmo us I believe

I actually checked out the Wind Mobile website, found that they sell SIM cards to use on their pay as you go tier. I then called T-Mobile, explained that I was going to be out of country for 10 days and requested an unlock code. 24 hours later I had the unlock code in my email account. Hit a Wind store as soon as I crossed border, bought and setup an account, dropped the SIM in my phone and viola!

The wind broadband is listed as 4g, but is a bit slower than what I'm used to. Quite tolerable, quite pleased with how it all worked out. Cheaper than buying a new phone.
