Can anyone simply explain how to use the SPen to make notes on a document? I can't seem to figure it out.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, I use the S-pen regularly for making notes and signing purchase approvals.
My staff submits, via pdf format through email, what we call a purchase request form. I receive the document, review it, and can sign off all from my Note 2 or Note 8.
First, download and save the pdf to the phone. It will by default be stored in download folder and can be found by opening the app titled My Files.
Next, open S-Note and press the menu button. Then select "import" from the list. S-Note will ask which type of file you wish to import and you'd select pdf. You will be taken to the My Files folder where you can select the folder titled downloads and select the preferred document, and press "Done"
The document will appear in S-Note and from there you'll have the ability to mark up, sign, or any other s-pen function.
Once you've done it once or twice, and know the steps, the whole process takes less than 30 secs.

This is exactly the information I too am looking for. I just got the Note 3 and my wife is about to get her Note 8 for work annotation on PDF's, Word Docs, etc. I am searching and will report back with any findings.Das
Thanks for the tip. Can the same process be used for writing notes on a word, excel or powerpoint document that has not been converted to a pdf file.
Not sure how you got these steps but I've opened S-note a million times and there seems to be no 'input' selection under the menu.Steve, I use the S-pen regularly for making notes and signing purchase approvals.

I can make notes on a Word document with Kingsoft Office. When in edit mode, use the insert tab and choose Manual Paint. The s-pen works great to make notes on the document. I believe I found similar functionality on the other office-like apps I have. I don't know if they can do PDFs, I haven't found that option in Kingsoft but it may be hiding somewhere. Adobe Reader also allows a PDF to be opened and offers numerous editing options including a mark-up and signature option. I haven't really played with these but there seems to be plenty of options to explore. When you open the PDF the center option at the top tool bar with a pen and balloon symbol gives you the edit options. Can anyone simply explain how to use the SPen to make notes on a document? The options for an existing page under menu are as follows:
Delete, Share via, export, edit pages, add tag, index page, add shortcut to home, print, save as, set as.
The options for a new page are:
share via, edit pages, record sketching, add shortcut to home, hide tools, save and save as
I would love to know how you got 'import'.
