Using the Moto X without a case

I have a clear tpu case that also covers the buttons. I also use a screen protector. I work outside everyday & am a landscaper that works mainly with hardscapes (natural stone, concrete products etc) & I am constantly cutting & grinding the material I work with with both wet & dry saws & grinders. If I didn't have a case & screen protector, my phone would be destroyed in a month or less. I go through a screen protector in 2 - 4 weeks. My tpu case is scratched & nicked too. I am on my second one in 5 months. For many of us, cases are essential. My phone still looks brand new when I take the case & screen protector off.

Currently using a screen protector on the front and a DBrand skin on the back.
Never actually had my Moto X in a full case, really takes away from the feel of the phone

So I thought I would try the caseless route for an evening here at the office — just to see how nice an unprotected phone really feels. Twenty minutes later, I'm looking at the growing cracks on the screen from where it fell three feet onto padded linoleum. I feel like Joseph "The Elephant Man" Merrick, who died because he wanted to see what it felt like sleeping prone, even though he knew it could kill him.

No case here - I usually always have a case on my devices, but the Moto X just begs to be nakie.

I've dropped it twice - once it felt out of my pocket as I was getting out of a truck and landed face down on a gravel driveway. Thankfully, the glass screen protector did it's job. The glass on the protector cracked, but my actual screen is pristine. Just bought another glass screen protector to replace the one I broke.

I do have one little nick on the side but it's not noticeable. I am pretty clumsy, and really should put a case on it - but...meh - I love it so much au naturel.

Seeing how Motorola will give you a screen replacement for free, roll the dice! ;p. I usually use a Seidio when out and about and naked at home.
