I drained my phone to 5% and using the OEM wireless charging battery door, as well as the OEM Samsung Qi charger, it took approx. 2:10. It was exactly twice as long as charging via the OEM wall charger and cable.

I rebooted the phone before charging in each instance to keep the results as close to accurate as possible.

Holy cow.... surely you don't mean 2 hours and 10 minutes!!!??? On my S5, it takes more than 7 hours. I should probably look into which one is defective... the S5 or the Samsung Qi charger. :(

are you using the s5 charger?

I'm using the charger that came with the Samsung wireless charger. However, it looks identical to the one that came with my S5. In fact, both are rated at 2.0A output.

I was looking at my S4 s-view case with wireless charging. Inside the cover it says 650 ma. This leads me to believe the case limits charging to 650 mah.

I haven't timed it, but mine takes quite some time. It usually takes at least five or six hours to charge completely.

It does take substantially longer than a traditional wired charger. I will say that having a case, in my experience, only adds more time to charging.
Of course it also depends on the charger as well as the receiver.

Can I use Nokia wireless charger to charge S5 ?
