Using the Tablet for Recorded Interviews

I'm an investigator and I'd like to incorporate the Tablet into my daily work life, including recording witness interviews. What I'm wondering is:

1. Has anyone out there used the Tablet for this purpose? How well does it do compared to a digital recorder?
2. What's the best app to utilize for that purpose?
3. Is it necessary to get a separate mic?
4. How do you process the recordings, such as how do you get them off the Tab? Can you utilize Dropbox or similar for that purpose or is it only through USB or via email?

I record a couple podcasts and am looking in to this myself. Right now I dont use either of my Android devices. But, i just downloaded an application called Four Tracks. Havent gotten to try it yet. As for microphones, i use this old Sony condensor mic that just plugs in to the headphone jack. Well, I use it with my ipod toucn, i havent tried it with my tablet yet.
